The architectural style is derived from Northern Tsimpsian big-house design, from the Skeena River district; and was the choice of the hotel owners, in their effort to show respect to other First Nations.

The project included a ground floor casino, restaurant, stores, hotel accommodation, wharfs for tour boats, and a series of cottages along the shoreline, with views to the open Pacific Ocean.
