CASINO
Ucluelet, British Columbia, CANADA
This project was designed to be built on the east side of Ucluelet Inlet, across from the town of Ucluelet. The centre-piece of the project was to be a casino & restaurant. Hotel accommodations with cabins looking out on the Pacific Ocean were also provided on the site.
|
The architectural style is derived from Northern Tsimpsian big-house design, from the Skeena River district; and was the choice of the hotel owners, in their effort to show respect to other First Nations.

|
The project included a ground floor casino, restaurant, stores, hotel accommodation, wharfs for tour boats, and a series of cottages along the shoreline, with views to the open Pacific Ocean.
The project had not been built as of the Spring of 2000, due to casino licencing delays.
